What Extension Workers Need From AI Tools

FIELD CASE #003
An extension worker using mobile guidance while speaking with farmers.
Extension workers do not need another complicated dashboard in the field. They need clear answers, fast context, and a way to explain the advice without sounding like they are reading from a machine.
Speed is only the first requirement
A six-second response is useful only when the response is grounded. The worker still needs confidence that the answer fits the farmer's crop, location, and current problem.
Explainability is a field feature
When a farmer asks why, the system needs to help the worker answer. A short reason, a practical next step, and a visible source can matter more than a long technical explanation.
The product constraint is simple: the tool should make the extension worker look more prepared, not less human.
The field interface should strengthen the relationship between farmer and adviser, not put a screen between them.
